• KeNHA said this will enable the road works to be done safely outside off-peak hours.
The Kenya Highways Authority (KeNHA) on Friday announced a temporary traffic diversion on Uhuru Highway for four nights to July 31.
The diversion will affect the route from Haile Selassie roundabout to Kenyatta Avenue roundabout from 9 pm to 6 am.
KeNHA said this will enable the road works to be done safely outside off-peak hours.
“Traffic heading towards Westlands will be diverted to the opposite side of the road and share the carriageway with traffic heading towards Mombasa road, only within the working hours at night,” the Authority said.
Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.
KeNHA said traffic marshals will be present to guide the traffic.
“Temporary road signs will also be set up close to the traffic diversion.”
The Authority has apologized to the road users for any and all inconveniences caused.
“We apologize for any inconveniences that may be caused as we endeavour to provide an efficient, safe and reliable road network.”
