The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has notified the public that a section of Lang’ata Road will be closed on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2.
The road will be closed for 12 hours, from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm on both days.
The closure will affect both the inbound and outbound lanes, between the U-turn just after the Carnivore entrance and Uhuru Gardens Entrance, at different time intervals.
“This follows the planned erection of Uhuru Gardens footbridge,” KeNHA said on Friday.
The installation of the footbridge is in a bid to ensure that pedestrians safely cross the busy road.
The Authority has advised motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site.
This is especially during the switch of lane closures.
