One motorist has died in a grisly road accident involving multiple vehicles on the multi-billion newly constructed Nairobi Expressway.
The Saturday, June 25, crash occurred at the road's Mlolongo Toll Station.
Confirming the incident, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) said the accident was caused by a motorist who was driving at high speed while approaching the exit.

The motorist, in turn, crashed into the Toll Plaza and ran over other vehicles that were being cleared to exit.
Consequently, the vehicle knocked down one toll booth and injured one toll attendant besides the other motorists.
The authority advised motorists against overspeeding and to be cautious while on the road.
In other news, Kameme FM presenter Muthee Kiengei narrowly escaped death in a ghastly road accident along the Eastern Bypass.
The media personality took to social media to update his fans about the accident on Tuesday, June 21.
