A photo of a poorly done drainage along the Nairobi Expressway has elicited anger among Kenyans.
The photo was shared on Facebook by Sikika Road Safety, an organisation that has tasked itself with creating awareness among road users in a bid to reduce road accidents.
In the photo are vertical downspout drainage pipings that seem to drain water right from the upper road to the ground.
Catching the attention of Kenyans was how poorly the subsurface drainage system was done as it seems, it would be channelling water into the road beneath the expressway, thus inconveniencing motorists who opt to use the lower highway.

This came a few weeks after KeNHA worked on a poor drainage system done on the expressway along Mombasa Road.
Motorists using the lower road had constantly complained of rainwater falling on their windshields during heavy downpours.
Meanwhile, President Uhuru Kenyatta is slated to commission the KSh 80 billion project this month (May), Infrastructure Principal Secretary Paul Maringa said.
The project company said on Wednesday, May 4 that the road is 99% complete and could soon be open for motorists, warning against taking photos on the way.
Maringa, who appeared before the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday, April 5, assured that Uhuru would commission all infrastructure projects before he leaves office later this year.
