Detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Kayole have arrested two suspects linked to a car theft syndicate.
The detectives are currently interrogating the suspects arrested in a raid conducted early Friday, December 16 in Njiru area.
A police report indicated that the suspects Patrick Masinde, 45 and Fernando Mwenda, 42 were arrested minutes past 1 am by a contingent of officers from Obama police station.

Also recovered were tens of fake rubber stamps belonging to different motor vehicle-selling dealers, financial institutions and the immigration department among others.
According to the police, a comprehensive search is currently ongoing at the suspect’s hideout in Obama estate aimed at gathering more information on the operations of the suspects.
Elsewhere, detectives have arrested two suspects believed to be behind the spate of armed robberies that have been reported in Embu, Kirinyaga and Tharaka Nithi counties in recent days.

The duo, Benard Fundi and Risper Wambui were arrested on the evening of Thursday, December 15 in Embu town and crucial exhibits related to various robbery incidents in Kigumo, Runyenjes and Kiritiri were recovered.
Meanwhile, two other robbery with violence suspects were arrested in nearby Meru county, as an ongoing manhunt for thugs responsible for robbery incidents reported in the county intensify.
The DCI has also distanced itself from a story narrated by a former Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer.
The DCI denied the allegations, saying they do not run a remand facility at their headquarters and their establishments across the country.
They went ahead to state that the remand function was a reserve of the correctional services.
