KEBs noted that all second-hand vehicles shipped into Kenya must comply with KS 15:15:2000, which is the standard code of practice for the inspection of cars.
The standards body said mitumba cars imported from Japan, Singapore, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand and South Africa should be accompanied by a certificate of roadworthiness issued by the Japanese's Quality Inspection Services Inc.
