On November 10, Huawei attended the COP27 conference organized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Egypt and introduced a new network carbon solution to promote green development.
The Executive Vice President of Huawei’s North Africa Region – Wang Dong delivered a short keynote. He said that the ICT technology and solution will not only lead to digitalization among industries but will also look after nature.
Further, the new Network Carbon Emission Intensity (NCIe) will estimate the accurate network energy utilization. As a result, it will maintain the network efficiency in the sector without triggering the environment.
On the other hand, high-end facilities like 5G services, AI tasks, data operations, and cloud-based solutions can lessen the energy burden to a large extent.
“Enablement effect hand ICT is promoting the green development of other industries. Technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cloud computing can reduce energy consumption. And carbon emissions and will improve the industrial processes.” 
How these technologies will help in green development?
Wang Dong mentioned that by using smart technologies, we can invent several gadgets that can count less on energy. For instance, automated smart street lights can turn off when nobody is around. Likewise, the 5G wireless base station can stop working when there is no data traffic, thereby saving energy.
The Chinese manufacturer has initiated green development a long time ago. The company has deployed solar panels instead of diesel generators to save fuel as well as energy. Moreover, it has unveiled a 5G antenna that can facilitate 500 meters and has reduced energy consumption by 30%.
Speaking of the Network Carbon Emission, Huawei and ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union’s Telecommunication Standardization) members have introduced this solution. Eventually, it will help the operators to have good control over the network efficiency.

At the recently held 2022 Huawei Connect Conference, the company launched four new solutions that can contribute to network efficiency worldwide. These solutions stand out as Digital Site Products.
According to the latest information, these solution serves as the main product of the digital infrastructure. Besides, they will enhance the network facilities in the industrial sectors and data-sharing operations.
To be specific, Huawei has built an ultimate network system that offers seamless digital services. Further, it provides computing energy to elevate the traditional long-distance network frameworks, real-time monitoring, and deployment without extra electricity.
The Executive Director of Huawei and Director of the ICT infrastructure Business Management Committee – Wang Tao said that Huawei will continue to build such solutions that will result in successful growth and safer network facilities around the global sectors.
Here are the four significant Huawei network efficiency solutions:
1. Perimeter Protection Stations
The respective solution uproots over the multi-dimensional technology. For instance, the optical-visual connection, and mainly used for railway purposes. It develops a railway perimeter security line of defense using optical fiber elements and machinery components.
On the other hand, it decreases the false alarm rate along the railway line and measures the false alarm for the railway perimeter protection for 1 time per kilometer per day. This maintains the positioning accuracy for 5 meters and lessens the response time for security threats to 30%. 
2. Raivision Combined Pole Station

Today, at the 2022 China Auto Forum, Huawei mentioned that the company is trying to begin its smart car business once again. Alongside, the company’s executives also explained why they have been doing the smart car solutions business so far.
In its initial years, Huawei tried to leap into the smart vehicle sector. However, the business didn’t touch the expected heights. Besides, a few users complained about the car components. As a result, the company has stopped car manufacturing and initiated smart car solutions.
Although, some of the company’s officials have a different mindset. Huawei Terminal Smart Car Business President – Wang Yanmin kept his thoughts and said that we cannot halt the entire business due to one failure. Hence, Huawei should once again consider stepping into the car business.
“The problem is very serious. If it can’t become a hit model, the business model can’t be closed. Huawei hopes to intervene from the initial stage of the smart new energy vehicle business, design, build, and sell together with car company partners, and sell the car into a hit.”
Users will not buy Huawei cars because they have Huawei phones!
Ironically, Wang Yanmin also said that users with Huawei phones will not purchase Huawei car products. Through this statement, the personality indicated efforts and dedication. 
We are well aware of how Huawei has hyped its smartphone business in both Chinese as well as the global market. Recently, the company successfully secured the first position in the China foldable phone market with 52% of the share.
Similarly, Huawei has to make efforts in its car business. Since the Chinese tech maker has given some of the best car solutions, it won’t be a difficult task to serve in car manufacturing as well. Yet, the company needs to work hard in this matter.
