A road safety agency has warned Kenyan drivers, especially men, against being distracted by their lovers as they drive as they will get distracted.
Sikika Road Safety, which is a community organisation that champions using Kenyan roads safely, said while it feels good to drive with one's girlfriends, they may distract drivers with their beauty.
In a Facebook post, the agency said for one, motorists should avoid driving while their lovers are exposing acres of skin and in comprising positions which may distract the driver.

Sikika said driving while the 'mali safi''s legs are on the driver will make both of them to start thinking about intimacy instead of focusing on the road.

A 2019 report by the National Trasport and Safety showed that more men were responsible for road accidents in that year.
It also put the number of men who were responsible for the most fatalities since the beginning of 2019 at 83.3 %, while women accounted for 16.7 % of the cases, which is 2,263 and 469, respectively.
The pedestrians remained the most vulnerable road users in the country as up to October 7, at least 1,049 died compared to 902 in 2018.

In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported when Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya embarked on a pedestrian visibility campaign dubbed I See You with the intention of promoting road safety among school children.
The idea was to distribute reflective sashes to over 20,000 school children across the country's 47 counties, which is part of a global campaign by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).
Research shows that school-going children are vulnerable at dawn and dusk when drivers’ visibility is impaired because of smoke, dust or fog.
