Mr. Elwaer, a national of Libya, holds a Ph.D. of Philosophy in Environmental Chemistry from Sheffield University, the United Kingdom, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Organizational Leadership from the Gestalt Centre of Organizations and Systems Development in the United States, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and Science Technology from the University of Sabha in Libya. Mr. Elwaer served as Secretary of Environmental General Authority (Minister of Environment) of the Government of Libya in Tripoli and was elected President of the African Ministerial Congress on Environment (AMCEN) from 2004 to 2006.
 
In 2007, he joined the African Union as Director for Human Resources, Science and Technology, and became Director for Administration and Human Resources Management in 2009. During his career at the African Union (AU), Dr. Elwaer has supervised and managed the Establishment of several African unique initiatives and institutions.
 
Before joining FAO, he served as Adviser to the President on Global Advocacy and Partnerships at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he also served as the IsDB Spokesperson and Director of Cooperation, Partnerships, Regional Integration and Resource Mobilization from 2014 to 2017. He was further appointed IsDB’s Sherpa at G20 and Heads of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs).

Adam is the Chief Responsible Investment Officer (CRIO) at the Church of England Pensions Board; Together with the CIO he is the co-Director of the Investment Team. He is also the Chair of the $45 trillion in AUM backed Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) and a Board Member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, (IIGCC). He co-leads sector engagement with the mining and steel sectors for the global investor engagement initiative, Climate Action 100+. He Chairs the Mining 2030 which is developing an Investor Agenda to address systemic challenges to mining and the low carbon transition.

Following the Brumadinho Tailings Dam disaster in Brazil in January 2019, Adam set up and chairs the $20 trillion supported Mining and Tailings Safety Initiative with John Howchin, Ambassador to the Initiative. He also represented the UN backed Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in the development of the first Global Tailings Standard, and now co-convenes together with the UN the international process to establish an Independent Global Tailings Management Institute to verify implementation of the standard and to drive safety standards across the mining industry. As part of his work with the industry he is Chair of Mining 2030 which is developing an investor agenda for 2030 addressing systemic challenges to mining and the low carbon transition.
 
As part of his work as Co-Chair of the Corporate Programme at IIGCC Adam has led the development of the first Net Zero Standard for the Oil and Gas sector and is leading the development of a similar standard for the diversified mining sector.
 
Adam founded the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) which is an asset owner-led and asset manager-supported global initiative which assess companies’ preparedness for the transition to the low carbon economy (and publishes this through the London School of Economics.) He also set up and co-chaired with the Dutch fund APG the Paris Aligned Investing Initiative that has produced the first global Net Zero Investment Framework for pension funds and investment managers. He now co-chairs with APG the global Board of the Paris Aligned Investing Initiative comprising all regional investor networks.

Antoine Sautenet holds a PhD in International Law and is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) de Rennes in Economics. After a career in the public sector (Associate Professor in International Law and diplomat at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs), he spent 10 years in Europe, Asia and North America as a Public Affairs senior manager for Michelin. Since 2022, he is the Chief Sustainability officer for the Michelin Group.

Sir Ben Ainslie is the most successful Olympic sailor of all time. After first learning to sail with his father at age 8, Ben reached his first Olympic games as a 19 year-old, taking home the Silver medal at Atlanta 1996. He would then go on to claim four Olympic gold medals and one Olympic silver medal, 11 World Championships, and an America’s Cup win in 2013, over the next three decades.
After receiving his knighthood, in 2014 Ben became a patron of the 1851 Trust an education charity committed to working with teachers, to inspire young people nationwide by harnessing the power of professional sport, to challenge perceptions and engage with students to share the opportunities science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) have to offer. 
Ben joined SailGP ahead of Season 2, replacing former skipper Dylan Fletcher as the team’s Driver. He won his first event in Sydney in 2020, and continues to put in top-class performances as CEO of the Great Britain SailGP Team. Beyond racing, SailGP’s values of diversity, sustainability and inclusion allowed Ben to extend his mission to help create a better world.

Together with Hannah Mills, in 2022, he helped launch Protect Our Future – which would become the Purpose Partner of the GBR team. The programme aims to empower and equip young people and educators with skills and knowledge to understand climate science and take positive action.

Ganesh Iyer is the CEO of NIO US. As the CEO of NIO in the United States of America, Ganesh leads efforts toward the company’s user development, user operations, user services, and regional company management in the USA. Ganesh V. Iyer reports to William LI, co-founder and CEO of NIO, Inc.
 
Previously he was Managing Director of NIO-US, Executive Vice President, and Global CIO. He is a business-savvy CIO and digital development and operations executive with over 30+ years of experience delivering proven results in various industries, including autonomous technology, technology-driven manufacturing, and telecom. He is recognized for rescuing under-performing digital organizations in emerging and global markets and is an expert at change management and building relationships across the organization to achieve company goals.  
 
Previously he held the role of Vice President and CIO at Tesla Motors for nearly five years. He led Tesla’s e-Commerce, homegrown ERP, service operations, and business intelligence systems. Before Tesla, he led senior IT leadership roles at VMWare. He was responsible for delivering VMWare’s customer entitlement management software solution and ERP systems.  
 
Before this role, Ganesh was the Director of IT at Juniper Networks. He was responsible for the global ERP/CRM systems implementations. As a Six Sigma green belt expert, Ganesh was instrumental in streamlining Juniper’s business processes to optimize the IT investments across various business units.
 
Prior to Juniper, Ganesh was the IT Director at WebEx and was in charge of all aspects of IT development, operations, and product engineering. In addition, he was instrumental assisting the CFO with a very successful IPO of WebEx in 2000.  
 
Before WebEx, he spent ten years consulting primarily for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). In addition, he implemented ERP, CRM, and OSS systems for various clients, including Oracle, Total Petroleum, Tata Chemicals, Bombay Stock Exchange, and Sun Microsystems.
 
Ganesh has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in mathematics from Regional Engineering College, Calicut in India.

Harald Emberger serves Beiersdorf AG as Chief Supply Chain Officer and Member of the Executive Committee with an end to end responsibility for the global Supply Chain. Before joining Beiersdorf in 2015, Harald held a variety of leadership roles with Unilever PLC and Mars Inc, including head of the Supply Chains for the Americas and Europe. Isabelle Sultan joined Parfums Christian Dior as Chief Sustainability Officer in early 2021, bringing her extensive experience in sustainability, marketing and innovation to spearhead the luxury Maison’s sustainability commitments.
 
At Parfums Christian Dior, Isabelle is set to continue her mission to unite impact with business performance, working to mitigate the Maison’s impact on planet and communities. In this role, Isabelle is driving forward the Maison’s sustainability goals and actions by leading the development of its Beauty as a Legacy 2030 sustainability strategy.
 
Beauty as a Legacy 2030 is the Maison’s’ first ever detailed sustainability roadmap for the decade to come. It outlines how Parfums Christian Dior is working to create more sustainable ways of operating throughout its value chain to only leave beauty as a legacy. Stephen joined Ocado as chief financial officer and executive director in March 2021. Prior to joining, Stephen was the chief financial officer of Rolls-Royce Holdings. During his career, Stephen has worked across various sectors both in the UK and internationally including senior roles at Daily Mail and General Trust, Dow Jones and News International. Stephen has a BA in Economics and Accounting from the University of Leeds and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Price Waterhouse (now PwC).

Since 10/2019 Dr. Thomas Becker holds the position as Vice President Sustainability, Mobility at the BMW Group. Dr. Thomas Becker was Vice President Government and External Affairs at the BMW Group in Munich from 2007 to September 2019. During his time in the area of Government and External Affairs he supervised the worldwide representation of the BMW Group’s political interests, the company’s approach to integrate political topics into the product as well as business communications and the steering of the sustainability communication of the company. Dr. Thomas Becker started his career as an expert in the department of environmental policy at the Association of the German Industry (BDI) in Berlin. He later held several leadership positions at the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) in Frankfurt. Before his current role with the BMW Group Dr. Becker worked as Deputy Managing Director at VDA, where he was responsible for the association’s co-management. From 1988 until 2003 Dr. Thomas Becker served as a reserve officer with the rank of Captain in the German Air Force. Dr. Thomas Becker received his PhD degree (Dr. rer. pol.) with Professor Dr. Ekkehard Kappler at the Reinhard-Mohn Foundation Chair for Management, Economics, and Social Evolution at the University of Witten / Herdecke with magna cum laude. He also holds a diploma in economics from the University of Cologne.

Sarah Schaefer leads sustainability for business area Europe for Electrolux. She previously held senior leadership roles in sustainability both at Unilever and Mars. Prior to that she was a Special Adviser in the British Government for David Miliband, first at the Department for the Environment and then the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Mr. Pedro Antonio Guazo Alonso was appointed the Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of the assets of the UNJSPF on 29 July 2020. Mr. Guazo was the Finance Director at the United Nations in New York for almost eight years. He managed a portfolio of more than USD$10 billion and an annual revenue of US$13 billion. He led the Organization’s finance operations in practically every country in the world.
 
Prior to joining the United Nations in 2012, he served in a similar capacity for more than two years as the Director of Finance and Treasury at the United Nations World Food Programme, managing a Portfolio of USD$4 billion and supervising finance officials in more than 75 Country Offices.
 
During a 15-year banking career, he contributed to the modernization of the Mexican Financial System, while serving as its regulator and supervisor. As CFO and Treasurer at the Federal Mortgage Bank (SHF), he negotiated and managed loans from the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. Similarly, he championed financial inclusion among people with low and middle incomes as CFO and Treasurer of the National Savings and Financial Services Bank (BANSEFI). His government service included posts at the Ministry of Finance and at the National Banking and Securities Commission, as a member of its Financial Sector Supervisory Body. While a student, he started his professional career at PWC.
 
A former professor of Finance at ITAM, Mr. Guazo received an International Executive MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Economics from ITESM and graduated from ITAM in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

His experience as a World Cup soccer player for New Zealand led him to think about things on a grand scale, whether that be crafting shoes or running a business. He’s constantly driven by the desire to do things better. For him, it’s not about the specific product or sport, it’s about the meaning and intention behind it. Tim earned a BS in Design from the University of Cincinnati before playing professional soccer, followed by a Master’s in Management from the London School of Economics.

Bhavesh was appointed CFO and Executive Director of British Land Company PLC in 2021 and is the Board lead for Sustainability. Prior to joining British Land, Bhavesh was Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Tesco PLC. Bhavesh has previously held senior finance and strategy roles in a range of consumer-facing businesses including Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants, Anheuser Busch InBev and Virgin Media. Bhavesh began his career with KPMG in Toronto, Canada and holds a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from London Business School.

There he served in a similar capacity, responsible for the Communications function and the PepsiCo Foundation, and worked closely with the company’s Sustainability and Government Affairs teams. During this time, he co-created the company’s sustainability vision, PepsiCo Positive (pep+), an end-to-end transformation of how the company creates growth and shared value with sustainability and human capital at the center. He also reimagined the Foundation’s global strategy towards advancing a more sustainable food system through new partnerships and investments to alleviate hunger, provide access to safe water, and drive economic empowerment.
 
Prior to PepsiCo, Jon spent the majority of his career at Disney/ABC, traveling the world as the Executive Producer on some of the most influential news programs, including “World News Tonight” and “This Week”, winning numerous Emmy Awards for groundbreaking coverage.
 
Outside of McDonald’s, Jon is a member of the Board of Directors for World Food Program USA, a non-profit that supports the mission of the UN World Food Programme to advance the global movement to end hunger.
 
Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Boston University.

Liz started her career as part of the portfolio management team at Lloyds Investment Managers before spending 25 years at USS. She’s also an Investment Advisor to the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme’s Investment Sub-committee and a member of the Investment Committee at the Charities Aid Foundation.
 
Liz holds an MA degree in Philosophy Politics and Economics from Oxford University as well as an ASIP qualification from CFA UK. She has passed CFA’s Investing in ESG Certificate.
